Persönlicher Status und Werkzeuge


The Chair of Nutrition and Immunology, headed by Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Dirk Haller, is integrated into the „Faculty of Life Sciences“ in Weihenstephan (WZW) and the „Research Center for Nutrition and Food Science (ZIEL)“ at the Technical University of Munich (TUM).

Research activities of the chair are focused on the basic understanding of mechanisms for the role of nutrition and the gut microbiome in the initiation, prevention and therapy of chronic inflammatory diseases covering the following themes:

  • Microbiome and gut health
  • Inflammation and immune function
  • Bioactivity of food and microbes

The „Center for Diet and Disease (CDD)“ and the „Munich Center for Microbiome Research (MCMR)“ are scientific networks to facilitate interdisciplinary research at the interface of nutrition and biomedicine.
